Will the magnet on some wallets demagnetize my credit card?

Magnets in money clips, money clip wallets and clutches are not known to demagnetize credit cards or damage cell phones. However, they may demagnetize hotel room keys.  For safety, we recommend limiting the exposure of your cards to the magnet in your wallet/clutch by placing your cards with the magnetic strip in the furthest position from the magnet.

Will my cell phone fit in the cell phone pocket?

The cell phone pocket in all of our bags is sized to hold most phones, including iPhones, Androids and Blackberrys.

Do the Meehan Utility Bag and Bar Rollup come with bar tools?

No, the bar tools pictured are not included.

Can I monogram my purchase?

Yes.  For a fee of $10 we offer a blind debossing on many products.

Do you offer non-leather products?

We are a leather company at heart and pride ourselves on the beauty of our natural leathers. All of our products use leather in some fashion; however, we do offer products made of waxed canvas with leather trim.

Is it safe to use my bag on rainy days?

Yes! Raindrops will not harm your bag.

What if my bag gets wet?

If your bag gets very wet, a stain will appear. With normal use, the stain will dissipate over time. Our #33 conditioner may also be used to rejuvenate your bag.

What if my bag is exposed to salt water?

If your bag is exposed to salt water, a ring of salt will appear. You may take a very mild soap and water to lift the salt from the leather. With normal use, the stain should dissipate over time.

What do I do if I scratch my bag?

On most leathers, scratches, blemishes and markings will diminish over time. We encourage you to continue using your bag to allow the scratch to work into the leather. Our natural leathers will patina naturally and look better with wear and age.

Will colors from the leather stain my clothing?

Very rarely. These are natural full grain, full aniline leathers, which feature waxes and oils. In very rare occurrences, color transfer may occur.

Which leather care products do you recommend?

How often should I care for my Moore & Giles product?

Your Moore & Giles bag needs minimal care. The aging process will showcase the leather’s natural beauty. Maintenance is only required when unusual circumstances occur such as large water marks, scratches, ink marks, etc.

Will the color of my bag change over time?

Yes. With time, leather will naturally distress and age. We believe that our bags become even more beautiful with wear and with age.   For products using vegetable tanned leathers, such as the items in our Legacy Collection, the leather will darken over time to a beautiful hue as it is exposed to sunlight.

Why does my bag have markings?

Your Moore & Giles bag was created with waxes and oils with no pigment on top. You will see all of the natural characteristics of our leathers because we have not altered the surface. They are full grain, full aniline leathers, much like a wood grain.

How long will my bag last?

Moore and Giles bags are designed to last a lifetime!

When should I expect to receive my order?

Our goal is to deliver your order as quickly as possible. Most orders are processed within 24 hours. Please allow 3 – 5 business days for standard shipping. All orders are shipped during normal business hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm EST.

Can I ship my order APO or FPO?

What is the Moore & Giles return policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your Moore & Giles purchase, you may return it for a refund or exchange within 30 days of the ship date. All returns must be unused and in original condition with the tags still attached. To return items, please follow these instructions. Monogrammed or other personalized items cannot be returned or exchanged.
