What started as a modest family business has grown into a globally recognized enterprise. Dubbed “the Southern kings of leather” by GQ magazine, our road to success has been hard earned. Persevering through turbulent times, from our founding during the Great Depression through multiple wars and industry shutdowns, we forged ahead leaning on our tenacity and grit, never once compromising on our standards.

From Shoe Supplier to Industry Leader

A major key to our endurance has been our ability to evolve as demands change. Starting off as a supplier of shoemaking materials, we shifted focus and repositioned ourselves as a leather provider for the furniture industry. We established Moore & Giles as a leader in this arena, and proudly remain the chief source for many home furnishing retailers today.

Makers of Timeless Leather Accessories

In 2007 we launched our bags and accessories line. The inspiration came from our very own team; traveling the world for their work, Moore & Giles CEO Sackett Wood and company president Tray Petty were underwhelmed by the quality of available luggage options. Their passion for leather inspired them to launch a brand made from the same leather that Moore & Giles has been synonymous with for decades.

We then tapped into our artisan skills and branched out into home décor. It was so well received, we dreamed even bigger and added our own line of residential furniture. These pieces are built to last, with so many customers consistently returning to grow their Moore & Giles collection. It’s a simple philosophy: Our leather is designed to last, becoming even more refined with time, and adding sophistication to your everyday life.
